1. Overview

At Vector Labs, we believe your privacy is a fundamental right. Chroma is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. Chroma operates locally in your browser to sample, generate, inspect, and organize colors without tracking you, collecting personal information, or transmitting your browsing data to external servers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Chroma does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any of the following:

• Personally Identifiable Information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment details
• Browsing history, visited URLs, web traffic, or search queries
• Keystrokes, form submissions, or webpage input data
• User analytics, telemetry, or device fingerprinting

3. Local Data Storage (chrome.storage.local)

All data created or modified while using Chroma is stored exclusively on your local device using the browser's native chrome.storage.local API. This data includes:

• Color Palettes: Custom palettes and saved colors created by you
• Color History: Recent eyedropper color samples, subject to your configured history limit
• User Preferences: Selected theme (Light/Dark/System), accent theme, hex formatting preferences, and navigation blur settings

Note: This data never leaves your device and is deleted automatically if you remove or uninstall the Chroma extension or use the "Reset Chroma Data" option in Settings.
